Care System, and “Big Pharma” is the Warden.

The American Heart Association says, more than 80 million Americans have
some form of heart disease. The Bogalusa Heart Study, one of the longest and
most detailed heart studies conducted on children, 1972-2005, in Bogalusa
Louisiana, at the Louisiana State University Medical Center, shows that by
the age of 12, an estimated 70% of our children have developed the beginning
stages of hardening of the arteries.
The National Cancer Institute states that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will
have cancer in his or her lifetime. The biggest killer of children 14 and under
is cancer.
The American Diabetes Association says over 20 million children and adults
have diabetes, and 1 in 3 Americans born in 2000 will develop diabetes (The
Journal of the American Medical Association).
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention claim that 64% of adults are
overweight, and 1 in 4 children are obese (The International Journal of Obesity).
Nearly 50% of obese adolescents remain obese as adults.
All of these statistics are increasing every year due to:
1) Lack of whole food nutrition

In most cases these drugs only mask the problem, as well as creating an
onslaught of new problems and side effects. They do not fix it!
If the medical industry were truly honest about researching what works for
patients rather than what makes money for drug companies, sickness and
disease as we know it, would be greatly diminished. Their approach to
medicine is: “Treatment” instead of “Prevention”.
There are approximately 29,000 nutritional supplements on the market in the
U.S. There are multiple medical studies that raise the question of the safety of
large doses of isolated nutrients. We tend to take vitamins based on what we
hear or read about, not necessarily what we need. An article featured in
February 2009, in the New York Times, wrote about a massive study. It
documented the effects of a daily multivitamin on 161,808 women. The
researchers found no evidence of any benefit from multivitamin use. The
findings were published in the Archives of Internal Medicine.
When looking for a specific vitamin to incorporate into one’s diet, we must
look at the source. Are the vitamins made naturally? Do they have synthetic
or toxic ingredients that can be detrimental to my health? How do we know
what our bodies are lacking or deficient in? All are excellent questions that

Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) has published research
stating that omega-3 fatty acids have an anti-aging effect on cells.
Japanese researchers have discovered another benefit to fish oil – treatment
for depression. According to a study out of the University of Tokyo, teenage
boys who eat a lot of oily fish have a 27% reduced risk of depression
compared to those who eat little amounts of oily fish.
An important new study published in the Archives of General Psychiatry reveals
that fish oil supplements prevent mental illness and are a safe alternative to
antipsychotic drugs.
When it comes to fish oils, don’t settle for just any cheap fish oil supplement.
